Our Next Big Move

We are beginning the moving process once again! We are trusting in God with a new transition for our family back to the SUNSHINE STATE! This makes me feel so many emotions all at once, but I know God is in control and everything in His hands. I am happy because we will be back in my old stomping grounds where I know where everything is, how to drive around, we'll be close to my brothers, cousins and all of my best friends and of course we can't wait to enjoy the warm weather and weekends at the pool, beach, grilling out and tanning. Don't get me wrong I'm also pretty sad because we will be leaving our loving family here in New York. It has been so nice living with family  and always having loved ones around (we live in the basement apartment of my mother in laws house). My mother in law is such an amazing woman who loves us and helps us so much and my sister in law (Camila's Godmother) is like my best friend who just happens to be my husbands sister and lives in the same house as me. I'm gonna miss them soooooo much, but they will be visiting all the time so it will all be okay. I'm also going to miss being home with Camila all the time because I will officially be starting my clinicals for grad school and working part time. So the next month will consist of packing, apartment hunting, looking into daycares and soaking up the last month and a half of staying home with my princess 24/7. This time in New York has been such a blessing for our family. Lots of sacrifices were made so that I could stay home with Mila, but it was ALL SO WORTH IT. We are excited for what's ahead & would appreciate any advice & lots of prayers please!

P.S.
I found this little packing organizer & have only gotten started on the moving folder, PRAY FOR ME!

So many good moving tips on Pinterest

The beginning of the school year has hit me pretty hard with TONS of schoolwork & not enough time in the day. I never realized that being in school while juggling baby, hubby, blog & home would be very different than when I was 21, no baby & barely had a care in the world (although I always managed to get straight A's).  I'm definitely in a school daze that has me working really hard to stay organized & on top of things. With Camila also being in "school" I really am feeling the whole "back to school" vibes (even though she only goes once or twice a week). The days Mila goes to school are actually my busiest days because I try to cram in so much homework, studying, reading, laundry, cleaning, meal prep, etc. I am trying my best to stay organized & the best and only way I know how to do that is by planning out my week in my planner and then everyday writing a "to-do-list" of what has to get done & in what order. I must say that the days Camila is in school I miss her sooooo bad, but at the same time it is CRAZY how much you can get done when their is not a little person following your every move. When Camila is at school you can usually find me in here...

Our little comfy, cozy office

& This is what I usually look like on "school days", which is every day for me...aka "hot mess" lol!

"Pray, Coffee, Repeat" all day long! This tee is from BeStillClothing & they are just about to have a summer blow-out sale starting Monday, yay!

Here's my little princess so far every day before school...

School is in Session

Happy Sunday loves,
Can't believe the time has finally come & I'm officially going back to school! I took about a two year hiatus from school since becoming a Speech Therapist, getting married & becoming a mommy. Tomorrow begins my new academic journey as a graduate student in the masters program in Speech and Language Pathology at Florida State University. As weird as it sounds, I actually get excited about the beginning of a new school year because I feel like it brings on new goals, ideas, opportunities and my personal favorite new school supplies! I've always loved getting all of my things organized and prepared for school to start and even though I'm a wife & mommy now that has not changed in the least. Having new, cute supplies and organizers helps keep me motivated and excited about what's to come.

Pens, Pencils, Planner, Journal, Notebooks, Binders, Paper, Highlighters, U Chic Book, Folders, Sticky Notes, Sticky Tabs, Reading Glasses, Index Cards, Index Card Organizer, Hole Puncher, Stapler, Paper Clips (almost all from Walmart, except reading glasses are Coach & pencils, planner, journal & book are from Target)

My new backpack & matching wallet, which I'm totally using as a purse/mommy bag too and I'm in love From Vera Bradley

New Mommy Car (OK, so maybe this is not a school supply but I'm just so excited & I definitely will be using it to drive to Starbucks & the library to study so it kind of counts ;P)

& my handy dandy fave Coffee Mug From TJ Maxx for when Starbucks is not an option & Coffee is the answer

I know managing school, blogging, mommy/wifey duties & all that comes in between will not be easy but it is a challenge I am so willing to accept. This is what I love to do & I want to set the best example for my princess so that she knows she can do WHATEVER she wants to as long as she believes in herself and never gives up.
So cheers to coffee, learning, cute school supplies & amazing new school year!

A sweet little princess will be 1 in just 3 months, so we have officially begun the planning process. She is obsessed with Mickey's Mouse Clubhouse, bows, & all things pink so we've decided to go with a "Camila's Bowtique" theme including lots of pink & sparkle!  My go to step when planning any event is to start pinning all my inspirations on Pinterest & here's what I've come up with so far...

Here are some of the things we have so far...

Some pom poms to hang around

Bows for the invitations

Pink & Gold are our colors

Still have SOOOO much to do, but as for my next step I have to get invitations ordered, Camila's outfits chosen & materials for hand making decorations gathered (all before our 1 month getaway to Florida), lets go!

Wish me luck!

I just keep telling myself...it's all for Camila!

Can't believe this little face will be 1 so soon!

Have a blessed & amazing week ahead lovies.

Hello loves,

So as you know one of my New Years Resolutions was to strengthen my relationship with God and for me journaling and a daily devotional are the perfect way to do that. I love reading & writing so they are one of my favorite ways to connect with God. I start my day by drinking 20 oz of water while I change, feed, pray, sing and read with Camila (probably one of my favorite parts of the day). Once she is all changed and fed it is time for her "independent play" either in her play pen or her bouncer. She usually can play independently for about 15-20 minutes. This is my time to pray on my own, read my devotional, journal and check my planner/plan the day. This little bit of time sets the tone for my whole day. The Word of God is literally living water and it feeds my soul and gives me so much energy and hope and I can't stress enough how much I could not do life without Him. He is my strength, happiness, and joy and I am so thankful for that.  Once I'm done reading my devotional, writing in my journal about my reflection to the devotional and organizing my day in the planner I am recharged and ready to go. This is usually when hubby starts waking up and is on Camila duty while I start making breakfast.

So here's a recap:
1.

20 oz of water, waiting for me on my night stand right when I wake up

2.

Devotional: Right now I am using the ibelieve.com daily women's devotional, so far  I love it.

I like to read the daily verse in my own bible & highlight and make any notes in it.

This is the same bible I've had since Elementary School.

Hey loves so as my very first little blog post I decided to start with something so exciting (at least to my decorating loving little heart) that's going on! My princess bow and heart hello kitty bedroom has been transformed into a mature chic and fabulous grown up room...

Old Princess Bedroom (This furniture set is actually on sale at craigslist)

New & Improved Big Girl Room!

I've been wanting to renovate my room for so long, but never had enough time or money to do it, but we decided we would tap into our savings and just be brave (not saying that it's smart to tap into savings for decorating, but what can I say lol) So after researching and pondering on Pinterest I came up with a white, lavender, and mirrored furniture idea. It has been such a work in progress, and is still not finished(hence the flower paintings laying on the bed), but never the less I can say I am so happy with the way it's turning out and feel so much more relaxed and organized in my new space. Also, I've been enjoying hosting little wine/singing/dancing parties with my friends in my new abode. Everything is mostly from Ikea, Wayfair, Target and Ross and Marshall's (I love scrounging around the whole store looking for great deals, also it's a perk that my boyf works at Target ;)

Okay well Delilah, my fur baby, & I are off to her very first dog birthday party of her cousin Louie (my friends Boston Terrier). I'll post pictures later about all the cuteness!

Love this dresser from Ikea & candles and candle holder from Ross!

My absolute favorite piece is my new make up vanity from wayfair.com Chair from Ikea, mirror from Bed,Bath &Beyond Glass Jewlery box and small mirror from Target Clear Acrylic Makeup Drawer Set from Muji

Organization at last! Desk & Chair from IKEA

New memory foam mattress is to die for! Paintings & Decor pillows are from Ross & Marshall's
