In the Finals...35 Weeks & Counting

Hello Dolls,

Camila's Mommy :)

We are officially in the FINALS! I can't believe we are less than 5 weeks away from meeting Our Princess Camila !!! Everything everyone says about the last trimester is so true. Sleeping is rough, heart burn is real and I am so clumsy from my huge basketball belly that any physical activity is dangerous because I may roll over at any moment. lol Due to doctors orders I have cut back my hours at work and have been resting a lot more. I've still been walking 2.5 miles a day and trying to drink a gallon of water which helps a lot to keep my braxton hicks contractions under control (I've been getting them since about 24 weeks). We are now going to the ob/gyn every week ! Camila is weighing 5 1/2 lbs and is already in the head down position and facing backwards. I am still not dilated. We are praying she stays this way to make labor and delivery easier for mommy! It is crazy that this is all happening so fast and she will be here before we know it. I'm not gonna lie, I am READY to have my body back and not be pregnant, but at the same time I love it so much and am gonna miss her kicking me, hiccuping, and rolling around inside my belly like crazy.

35 Weeks- Camila weighs 5 1/2 lbs and head is down!

 How far along: 35 weeks

Gender: Baby GIRL!

Maternity clothes: Maxi dresses and leggings for work

Stretch marks: No, thank you Lord!!

Belly button in or out: POPPED!

Sleep: Always sleepy, but hard to stay asleep. Since I can only sleep on my sides my hips get exhausted from the weight and I have to turn around every few hours.

Best moment this week: Seeing her little head, hands and feet at our ultrasound this week. Wasn't able to see her face because she's facing my back.

Worst moment this week: Difficulty doing anything- putting my shoes and clothes on, laying down, getting up, everything!

           Miss anything: Wine & sushi

Movement:  Moving and rolling so much! Lots of digging in my side with her elbows and knees.

Cravings: chipotle, pizza and spaghetti

Queasy or sick: Good ol' heartburn

Looking forward to: Belly painting this weekend with my girlies

Sidenote: I've been preparing for labor and delivery in the most natural way possible. I've got my clary sage (natural pain reliever) and lavender (naturally calming and soothing) oils ready as well as my fresh chamomile ready to drink as soon as my contractions start coming and/or my water breaks. During labor I plan on using hypno-birthing and massage as pain relief. Please pray for me as I know this sounds crazy to many people. I'm also preparing for after labor and delivery with some "padsicles". I've heard wonders about how they will save my womanly parts after delivery. All you need are maxi pads, aloe vera gel, witch hazel and lavender oil evenly spread along the pad. Keep them in the freezer until a few minutes before each use. As time gets closer I'll post more about what else I'm using to prepare for the arrival of My Princess Camila.
What you need to make "Padsicles" lol

I love you
In the spirit of my final weeks of this pregnancy and the NBA finals, I wanted to share one of my new mommy/wife inspirations: Ayesha Curry, wife of Steph Curry ( the star of Golden State Warriors, Western Conference Champs). Her instagram and blog - littlelightsofmine is so heart felt, God centered and adorable. I really admire how in the midst of all the craziness I'm sure she is faced with daily because of the spotlight on her husband she remains so simple, real and beautiful. Ayesha is also expecting and due in July! She has amazing recipes and so many cute family pics, I'm sure you would all love to check her out.

Well now I'm off to watch the rest of the Finals Game 1! Go Golden State!
Praying for a terrific Friday and amazing weekend for you all.
Lots of love & light.

xoxo
Arianna
