Shower of Love <3 (My dress is from SewTrendyAccessories shop on ETSY and headband is from Love Culture) |
WOAH what a whirlwind it has been around here these past few weeks. I can finally say the most important thing on my to-do list doesn't have to do with planning any event. HALLELUJAH! It was SO much fun & exciting planning a wedding and baby shower within weeks of each other, but it was SO stressful and overwhelming and I'm so glad its over. I am so excited for the next few weeks filled with rest, nesting and preparing for the arrival of our princess Camila, oh and add a little bit of Grad School applications and work conventions in there as well. It is so surreal that within the next 6 weeks we will be meeting our baby girl and officially be Cruz Party of Three. I will certainly miss having her in my belly and feeling her every move, but I can only imagine how much more bonding and love we will share once she makes her big arrival into this wonderful world.
Our Baby Shower was everything I could have dreamed of and more. All of my ideas came to life thanks to my mom, aunt, cousins, and friends. I am so blessed to have such a great group of women who love me so much and are always there for me no matter what. It was a perfect celebration in honor of Camila. The theme was Shabby Chic with a Princess Garden flair. Our amazing photographer was there once again to capture the beautiful memories. I will post as soon as I receive those pictures, promise! For now, here's a re-cap of our baby shower via our loved ones camera phones:

Thank you SOOOOO much to all of our family and friends who celebrated with us on such a special day! We are so blessed to have all of your love & support.
Now for an update on Princess Camila:
How far along: 34 weeks
Gender: Baby GIRL!
Maternity clothes: Mostly maxi's, anything that is even remotely squeezing my belly bothers me
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: POPPED!
Sleep: Feeling sleepy ALL THE TIME!
Best moment this week: Starting to organize her things into her dresser, closet and little bins. Everything smells so good. I love baby detergent.
Worst moment this week: Anytime I have to sit down, get up, roll over, bend down because it's mission impossible. She's getting very big and heavy.
Miss anything: Being flexible and agile.
Movement: Always on the go! Loves to hear daddy's voice and music. Anytime I drink something cold she immediately starts moving.
Cravings: hummus, sandwiches and cereal
Queasy or sick: Sometimes nauseous when I get hungry, mostly just heartburn
Looking forward to: Finding out baby girls position and if I'm dilated at all at our next appointment.
I've been creating a hypno-birthing playlist to play during labor and delivery and I'm loving all the guided meditation and beautiful terminology for some of the scary terms, for example: contractions are "rhythmic risings" LOVE THAT!
Also, I've been packing our hospital bags, working on a birth plan & organizing last minute touches. Will share pics and lists on next post!

So I've been thinking a lot about all amazing things I want to teach, experience, live, learn, explore with my daughter and I'm just so excited to see the beautiful little human she's going to be and evolve into. I can't wait to get to know her and find out her likes, dislikes, passions and dreams. I feel so blessed to be her mommy and I am so connected to her already. I love you Camila <3
