15 Weeks !

Hello Dolls,

 Mommy & Big Sister Delilah
I can't believe we're already 15 weeks & counting. I am still in shock & can't believe there is a baby inside of me, but I must say it is the most amazing feeling to know you created life with the person you love and I thank God for this blessing every single day. We are so anxious to finally find out the sex of Baby Cruz. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks we can share the BIG news with all of our loved ones. I wanted to keep track and share with all of you our progress through the pregnancy. So I will be sharing some weekly updates with you all in the form of this little questionnaire...

He OR She ?!

How far along: 15 weeks

Gender: Don't know yet !

Maternity clothes:  Mostly living in leggings,  maxi dresses, and scrubs for work. Bought a pair of pregnancy jeans and black maternity pants for some occasions.

Stretch marks: No

Belly button in or out: Still in !

Sleep: Always sleepy! Sleeping very well thanks to my amazing pregnancy pillow or as Jestyn likes to call it "The U-Turn", I definitely recommend this to every preggers out there. Other than that, getting up to pee at least 4 times a night is no fun.

Best moment this week: Figuring out a name that we both LOVE for both sexes.

Worst moment this week: My parents going back to DR (even though my mommy is coming back in 3 weeks, HALLELUJAH) & Jestyn going back to NY for work (I never realized how hard it would be. )

Miss anything: I miss beer and margaritas, working out hardcore, & my fiance and family.

Movement:  Not anything major yet. Just little flutters. Can't wait to feel a real kick!

Cravings: Mostly milk, fruit, Chipotle, and Dominican breakfasts (mangu, salami, queso frito, huevos, aguacate=HEAVEN)

Queasy or sick: I've been blessed to only have had morning/all day sickness for 2 weeks in the first trimester.  During those 2 weeks gingerale and saltine crackers were my lifeline. Now only when I'm very hungry or smell a strong scent do I get nauseous.

Looking forward to: Finding out the sex of the baby & figuring out where our lives are headed in the next few months.

FIRST TRIMESTER FAVORITES

I also wanted to share some of my First Trimester favorites (pretty much things I could not live without and products I really love and have helped me thus far).

1. I have been making my own stretch mark serum- I use organic coconut oil, raw shea butter and cocoa butter (all from Whole Foods) and mix it all up and pour it into a big container and lather up my whole entire body with this mixture 3x a day. Also, I've been loving my Tummy Rub Butter by Mama Mio which I use whenever I'm on the run. So far no stretch marks for my really fast growing belly and my skin feels super soft and healthy.

2. As I already mentioned, I am in love with my body pillow. It helps so much since I can no longer sleep on my belly and am not supposed to sleep on my back due to reduced oxygen to me and baby. This pillow has helped me comfortably become a side sleeper.

3. I love my prenatal vitamins- New Chapter, Perfect Prenatal, also from Whole Foods. They are organic and made from vegetables and whole-foods.

4. I am a tea-lover, and surprisingly a lot of teas are out of the question during pregnancy. Thank God for Raspberry Leaf tea which has so many benefits for all women and especially during pregnancy. I have found this tea even helps with the cramping that comes along with pregnancy.

5. I have normally been blessed with pretty clear skin, but ever since little baby Cruz made its way into my life I've been suffering from sensitive and acne-prone skin. I found 2 products that have helped me so much and maintained my skin looking healthy. First is the Belli Facial Wash and the second is the Belli Acne Spot Treatment
Some of my absolute favorite pregnancy products so far!
